Hi! My name is Laura Babcock, and I will be your child's teacher this year. This is my seventh year at Krambrooke-Griffin Academy.
I am very excited to be teaching a 1/2/3 split this year. This multiage situation provides a unique opportunity for all of the students to make new friends and new academic connections. The younger students will benefit by having second and third grade role models. The older students will benefit because they will gain confidence in their skills as they help the first graders.
I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Dayton with a major in Early Childhood Education (similar to an elementary degree in Michigan but specialized for grades preK-3). I minored in theatre while at UD, and I am excited to be able to share my love of the stage with the students in Drama. I am currently working on my Master's in Reading Education at Saginaw Valley State University.
If you need to contact me, you can reach me at school at (586) 992-0410 or through school email at lbabcock@krambrooke.com.
